This policy explains what information Decodepedia (“we”) collects through decodepedia.in, why, and the choices you have. By using the website you agree to this policy.
What we collect
- When you buy: your email address, and the phone number and payment details you enter in Razorpay’s checkout. Card and bank details go to Razorpay and are never seen or stored by us.
- When you contact us: what you send by WhatsApp, phone or email.
- Automatically: technical data such as IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and the page that referred you, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
How we use it
- To process payments and give your email access to the notes you bought in Google Drive.
- To answer support requests and send messages about your purchase.
- To understand how the site is used and improve it.
- To measure and improve our advertising, as described below.
- To prevent fraud and misuse.
Service providers we share data with
- Razorpay processes payments.
- Google Drive delivers the notes: your email address is added as a viewer on the files you bought.
- Meta (Facebook/Instagram): we use the Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API to measure our ads. When you view a product, start checkout or buy, we send Meta the event, its value and technical data, plus your email and phone number in hashed (scrambled) form so Meta can match the event to an account without us sharing them in readable form.
- Google Ads and Google Tag Manager measure ad performance. On purchase, your email (and phone, if given) is sent to Google in hashed form for enhanced conversion measurement.
We do not sell your personal data.
Cookies
We and our ad partners use cookies to remember your session, measure visits and show relevant ads. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and manage ad preferences in your Meta and Google account settings.
How long we keep it
Payment records are kept as long as the law requires. Drive access stays in place so you can keep using the notes you bought. You can ask us to remove your access and data at any time.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, or withdraw consent to marketing. Write to decodepedia37@gmail.com. We reply within 30 days.
Children
Our notes are meant for UPSC aspirants. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
