Chandrashekhar Azad was born on 23rd July 1906 in Jhabua district of Madhya Pradesh.

He was just 13 years of age when he joined the Non Cooperation Movement of Gandhi

He was even arrested by the Britishers when he was 16 years old.

At the Police station, he inroduced himself as Azad and his father as Swatantra. From that day, he was famously called Chandrashekhar Azad.

He was angry at Gandhi for withdrawing the Non Cooperation Movement in 1922

Later he joined Hindustan Republican Association and Involved himself in the famous Kakori train robbery in 1925

Later he also planned the murder of SP Scott. But mitskenly Saunders was murdered.

One day he was surrounded by the Britishers in Alfred Park in Allahabad.

After fearlesssly facing the Britishers, he decided to kill himself instead of surrendering to the Britishers
