Chandrashekhar was the famous Indian revolutionary who was born in Madhya Pradesh on 23 July 1906. Right from his childhood, he had seen only one dream and that is of making India independent. He participated in Gandhi’s Non Cooperation Movement but was extremely disappointed when Gandhi withdrew the movement in 1922 in the aftermath of Chauri Chaura incident. Then he changed his way of getting India independent. He preferred the use of violence and revolution rather that non violence and satyagraha.

4. Even when he was a child, he participated in Gandhi’s Non Cooperation movement.
5. He killed himself in 1931 at the Alfred pledge just for the cause of the country.

He shot himself dead in the Alfred Park in Allahabad in 1931. The reason why he shot himself is that he was surrounded by the British police officers in the park. And Azad has taken the pledge that he will never be captured by the Britishers. Hence, to escape the catch of police, he shot himself dead.
